Thousand Human Eyes

Thousand human eyes
Cannot grasp nature’s beauty
In lifetime to praise

Thousand human eyes
Cannot see nature in full
As I always flies

Thousand human eyes
Falls short in their description
Of Sunset sunrise

Thousand human eyes
Cannot apprehend nature
Beneath the blue skies

Thousand human eyes
Fails to see nature’s beauty
To fully appraise

Thousand human eyes
Cannot fully understand
Nature to surmise

Thousand human eyes
Are blessed to see the nature
In its complete guise

Thousand human eyes
Sees the beauty of nature
With awe and oyez

Thousand human eyes
Is not capable to see
Nature’s burning eyes

Dawn

Dawn blushed; betrayed her waking sky
To gently break another morrow fine.
Night waned – the black receding – highland
Reaching for the early morning wine.

The chorus rendered frantic caws and
Chirps and other avian song,
Mapping out the 'mine and yours, ' and
Goading more to sing along!

Quiescent water – deep of lake –
Reflected out the hazy red, but
Through the glass, a flick, a break:
An urgent tail from hidden bed!

And in the meadow, waking faces
Calmly spread a coloured veil;
The dew disclosing spider laces –
Oft with once a fly’s travail!

Dawn blushed; revealed her inner peace;
She handed on another blissful day.
Night ebbed, relenting to release of
Warming blood that gives to her display.

Tim Flach

My trend is all about the cycle of life, already looking at the landscape, I am now moving to look at animals and what will inspire me from there. Tim Flach captures animals and allows us to read them like you would a human whilst creating movement.

Only the bird in this photograph inspires me, its grandeur and strength are shown but conflicted by the delicate feathers and position it is in.

I love how you really feel apart of this photograph and can sense the movement. The colours are similar but definite which could help to inspire me for my colours in my trend.

The main focus is on the horses which have a beautiful smooth shape to them and are strong. But the setting has a coldness and a haze about it which I am very inspired by.

The setting is inspiring to me, as are the huskies, which are known for being in packs. It not only shows strength and security but love and a family.

I love the flow on the horses tail in this photograph, the blue of the water makes for a bold base colour. The ripple and the reflection at the top creates a nice shape which could translate to a flowing fabric.

I really enjoy the coldness this photograph creates, but this is not my favourite part. The horses are so small in this picture but they still create movement and beauty, which could inspire me for layout.

I am inspired by this photograph because it shows just how we can interact in the nature around us, which can translate to how fashion fits around our life cycle.

Layout

I am very influenced by the way art, photography and fashion pages are layed out which brings a new depth to the research as not only are the image influential now the presentation is. I want to portray this in my trend book.

I like how the two photos are placed on top of each other but the person is missing in both. It creates movement and a mysterious identity. Even though there is two images the overall picture is still clean and neat.

I like this image because not only is the image on a book but the photographs in it is of a book. I am influenced by the dimensions it brings but again still holds its neatness.

I like this image because it shows the persons inspiration in a rough way which is neatened by taking a photograph of it. The different sizes and media making it very eye catching.

I like the neutral colours used throughout and how the layout has been worked out. The different shapes creates a lot of focs points but the way in which it all has a neat edge makes it clean and easy to look at.

I like how much negative space is used and how the image and writing are kept to the sides. The small amount of colour creates enough influence so no more is needed.

I am only slightly influenced by this due to the slight messiness and the lack of aesthetics but the square and text is neat and has a colour which has a blue tinge.

Landscape photography

I am very intrested in landscape photography, as it portray a feeling through colour and setting. These are some which made me most inspired but were not shown in my trend book. These are by various photographers.

I like how dark this photograph is, it makes it feel mysterious and cold. The feet are the focus point, not only because they are a lighter colour than the rest of the photograph but because it is near to being centre.

I find this photograph influencing because the colours in the sky have a purple tinge amd the light on the ground makes the focus point on the horizon as it has more light on the horizon which isn't normally captured.

The colour of the sea and the sky are beautiful and really influence me for my trend. The rock seems like the base of the photo and holds it together. You can almost feel the different textures which the photograph brings.

I gain influence from this photograph because the layout creates the focus on the sky, which can be translated to have very slim trousers and an oversize jacket.

The colour of the back mountain influences my trend a lot and gives light to the darkness of the bottom half of the photograph which I want in my trend. I want my clothes to give some light and edge to winter.

I like the angle in which the photograph has been taken, it feels like the world is above you and your within the flow of the sea. The colour of the sky has a lot of influence in it.

Trend Research

Mark Leach

Mark Leach was an artist from Sussex, he passed away suddenly in the summer of 2008. He gained many prizes for his contemporary pastel paintings. His work, whether landscape, cityscape or still life, concerns the place of man in nature and seeks an essential truth and harmony through simple colour, line and form.

Trend Research

To create my trend I started looking at things which inspire me and artists and photographers which were either inspired by this also or captured the images of my inspiration.

Rinko Kawauchi

Rinko Kawauchi is a Japanese photographer who captures the beauty of ordinary moments which we often ignore. Her themes are focused on family, human interaction with in nature and the life cycle, which are shown through whitish light, delicate compositions and pastel colours.
